As fall approaches rapidly, there are many new fashion trends arising and old ones making a comeback. Some we all know and love, and others we want to leave in last fall.
We went through the halls and asked the students for their opinions on their favorite and least favorite fashion trends that they have seen recently.
The four items shown in image A showcase some clothing pieces Lynx dislike seeing in the halls, such as boots, flared leggings, and pjs.
As Kayla Solomon (‘26) says, “Turtlenecks just aren’t cute.”
While some people pull it off, it’s not a very popular choice among Lincoln’s highschoolers. However, it could definitely be a good layer for the colder seasons!
Some fashion trends people really liked seeing recently are in image B, such as knitted sweaters and low-rise jeans.
“I love a good pair of Uggs,” said Nora Jorgenson (‘26). Uggs tend to be a statement for fall clothes. They are seen frequently in and out of Lincoln; however, they aren’t everyone’s cup of tea.
Jillian Harding (‘26) says she only likes them conditionally: “I love Uggs, but I can’t stand when they are stained and old.” This seems to be a common trend among our student body. Uggs tend to be a trend among many highschoolers including Lincoln students, and as Jemma Hodgson (‘29) says, “Uggs are my favorite.”
Do you agree with the word in the hallways? Are these clothes fashIN or fashOUT?
