Are you excited for homecoming? Well you should be! Homecoming this year will be on October 19th at Lincoln. Everyone should go! The theme is decades and it’s going to be really awesome! With Homecoming approaching we asked a few people for their thoughts…
What do you think of the homecoming theme this year?
Peter Antinore (11): I mess with that.
Josiah Corner (11): I like it.
Atlas Macomber (10): I think it’s a little dumb. I feel like people should just kind of be allowed to wear what they want.
Ella Carlson (9): Good, it’s good.
Cameron Walker (10): At first I was a little disappointed because decades seem pretty like broad but when I really started breaking it down I had a lot more options to go with but I feel like overall its pretty good.
Cooper Richardson (9): I think that’s a pretty solid theme.
What do you think it’s going to look like?
Peter Antinore (11): Just like a kind of dark room, like normal yeah.
Josiah Corner (11): I think it’s going to look like a, uh, a decade’s theme.
Cameron Walker (10): Hopefully better than last year.
Cooper Richardson (9): It’s going to be a lot of 70s, 80s. Some calm 2000s soldier boys. Yeah, maybe 90s. Or like a pirate.
Jackson Robbins (9): Maybe some 90s. Maybe like a dapper young man from the 50s. Yeah, yeah definitely.
What do you think the spirit weeks will look like?
Josiah Corner (11): I think you should do like a day where it’s like the freshman are like the 60s and then the sophomores are like the 70s and then like one of those types.
Cameron Walker (10): Hopefully like decades.
Cooper Richardson (9): Uh probably decades day.
Are you excited for homecoming?
Peter Antinore (11), Josiah Corner (11), Robin Silvia (11): 3, 2, 1, YEAH!!
Atlas Macomber (10): Yeah.
Ella Carlson (9): Yeah.
Cameron Walker (10): Absolutely.
Cooper Richardson (9): Oh I’m excited.
Jackson Robbins (9): Me too.
Are you staying on theme for dress?
Ella Carlson (9): I’ll try to.
Cameron Walker (10): Absolutely definitely, people who aren’t on theme [are] my biggest pet peeve.
Any ideas for homecoming next year?
Josiah Corner (11): Do like a oh donkey and dragon theme.
Atlas Macomber (10): Oh maybe like underwater.
Cooper Richardson (9): I was thinking maybe for a theme. I have no idea. Okay. Um.
Jackson Robbins (9): I saw this one on TikTok, it was like, night in Athens.
What are you most excited for?
Peter Antinore (11): The food and the dancing.
Robin Silvia (11): Yeah dancing.
Ella Carlson (9): Hanging out with my friends.
Cameron Walker (10): Seeing peoples outfits.
Cooper Richardson (9): I’m excited to hang out, you know?
Do you think a lot of work goes into Hoco?
Atlas Macomber (10): Yeah I’d say so.
Ella Carlson (9): Yeah.
Cameron Walker (10): Of course! A lot of work gets put into most of the dances and school events here. We have a really great ASB.
