The Taco Time in Wallingford, just a couple blocks from Lincoln, has officially closed. In its place a Chipotle will be opening. The Taco Time on 45th had been open for 50 years before they finally decided to close the location on July 15th. It is one of the oldest taco times in the chain, but despite that we were surprised to find out that not many students knew there was a Taco Time in the area.
“Taco Time? I didn’t know there was a Taco Time near Lincoln.” Says Greta Clark (’27). Other students agree they didn’t know there was a Taco Time in the area. Tae Smith (’28) says, “I didn’t know there was a Taco Time” “Wait there’s a Taco Time?” Anders Bertelsen (’27) responds to Smith.
Additionally, other students explained that they are excited for the future Chipotle. Naomi Endo (’26) says “I’m really excited for the new chipotle because it’s a good, quick option to get food after school, and during lunch.” This will be great for students to finish homework after school and get food before practice.
“I’m excited for the chipotle, but I think it’s going to get really crowded.” Explains Ava Brittain (’27). Which raises a good point, during lunch all the food places get crowded, and it makes it hard to get lunch. Although, I think it will still be a great place for students to get food in the area, and it will most likely be a popular spot.
