After MONTHS of late night study sessions we all know break was the perfect time to reset, relax and catch up on sleep. Let’s recap what lynx did over winter break!
Jack McLaughlin (‘26) anticipated getting extra sleep over break, and Lukas Ticen (‘28) agreed saying, “I can’t wait to sleep in!” Some people didn’t have time to sleep in, like Kellyn Doyle (‘26). She unfortunately had to work… or is it fortunate? Get that bank Kellyn!
Many people were excited to spend time with family and friends, like Ankit Bera (‘25) who said he was “looking forward to meeting one of my dad’s good friends.” Plenty of people were ready for their older siblings to come back from college for the holidays which they later regretted being excited for.
Astrid Watson (‘27) told me she was, “going to go skiing” and she’s not the only one. Lynx seem to love skiing! Lots of students joined her on Whistler and other mountains nearby.
Break can also be a time for reflection. With the year coming to a close, we should all take a moment to appreciate our growth, accomplishments, and the challenges we’ve overcome in 2024. With the New Years around the corner, people are starting to think about their resolutions.
The people we talked to seem to be leaning towards school-oriented goals. Nour Chalasani (‘27) told us that she wants “to stay more organized throughout the year”. Simran Krishnamurthy (‘28) similarly want to “try and keep good grades”
Winter break was a time to relax, rest, and reset! It was opportunity to meet with family and friends, recharge the batteries, and get ready for the rest of the year! Hope it was blast Lynx!
