Spring sports are starting up and that means track season is already in full swing. Practices began in early March, the first meet was on Thursday the 27th, and the Lynx are looking forward to the rest of the season.
A sprinter looking forward to having a great season is Roan Krishnamurthy (‘25). Krishnamurthy had an impressive season last year making it to state, becoming a 5x state qualifier across the 200m, 4x100m and 4x400m. He started running track his freshman year because he knew wasn’t going to make the soccer team and now says it was a great decision .
When asked what he is looking forward to most this track season he replied saying, “I’m looking forward to fostering a great sprinting community at Lincoln.” Krishnamurthy is a team captain this season and likely could have been a captain his junior year if not for the rule that all the captains on the Lincoln track team are seniors.
Track has taken Krishnamurthy a long way and he is going to run D1 track at Columbia University. Over the course Krishnamurthy’s career he has been a 4x national qualifier and a junior Olympic all-American. Krishnamurthy runs the 100m, 200m, and the 4x100m.
Krishnamurthy is looking forward a successful track season, along with the rest of the team.
