2022 World Cup Preview

The biggest sporting event in the world will be back on November 20th. After 4 long years, the World Cup will return, with this edition of the tournament being hosted in Qatar.

The opening ceremony will take place on November 20th at the Al Bayt stadium, which has a 60,000 person capacity.

32 different countries will participate, split up into 8 groups. Each group will play three games each, and the top 2 teams in each group will advance to the knockout stages. Brazil are favorites to win the tournament but France, Argentina, and England are also in the mix. The cost of attending these games range from $230- $10,000 along with lodging and air fare to Qatar. 

The games will be played in four main time slots, but because of the time zone disparity, and they aren’t at the most convenient times. You can tune into games in the morning, at times ranging from 2-11 am PST. The more prominent games will be featured towards the later times, around 8 or 11 pm. All three of the United States group matches will be at 11 am. They play on Monday, November 21st, Friday, November 25th, and Tuesday, November 29th.
