Up-and-Coming Lincoln Artists

At Lincoln High School, it is required that you have two art credits to graduate. There are many different ways you can obtain these credits. Taking a drawing and painting class is one of them.

We spoke to a few of the

Drawing and Painting students about their still life assignment.   

Emery Santos, a 10th grader at Lincoln High School, described his artwork as “Dark, because the background is black and kind of playful because I took my brother’s toys.”

th grader at Lincoln High School, created this art piece. She used color pencils and Sharpies to make this piece. Kwon stated that she wanted to use her creation to describe her artist experience, and that drawing and painting class has helped her continue her journey of being a great artist. 

Sophie Whipple is a 11th grader at Lincoln high school. She chose to incorporate mice in her artwork because they are “really cute.”
